Two-Tiered Yellow and Pink Fondant – my two favourite colours!
Every year my family says they will buy me a cake and they feel terrible about me making my own. But I thoroughly love baking and decorating something for myself!
This cake was an excuse to try some new recipes and the swirl design on the top tier.
Inside I had 2 different types of caramel mud cake. The top tier had quite a golden syrup flavour and the bottom tier tasted more like white chocolate mud… this is why I am still searching for the ultimate caramel mud cake recipe.
There wasn’t too much more to this cake – just covering it in the white and hot pink fondant, sealing it with golden yellow buttercream frosting and inserting the pre-made fondant hearts into the top tier. I also added cashous near the swirls and painted the hearts on sticks with some sugar glue and pink disco dust.
