While cake decorating is all about appearances, people will often comment on the taste of the cake too… there’s no point in serving up a cake that is inedible!

During my early learning phase of cake decorating, I made it my mission to focus on learning a couple of key things;

  1. Creating a tall cake that screams “PROFESSIONAL!”
  2. Making a delicious cake from scratch
  3. Learning how to make the Australian favourite – a rich moist Chocolate Mud Cake!

Making your own cake gives you the flexibility to make custom shapes, mix up the flavours of your tiers and best of all; you can say you made it by yourself.

It’s truly a satisfying feeling!

I spend months trying new recipes – and the simpler, the better in my opinion.

So notice that my selection are only a few ingredients – no complicated steps or fancy ingredients. Easy!
